Magnitude 10.0 Gymnastics

MAGGIE NELSON is the owner of Magnitude 10.0 Gymnastics and the head competitive girls’ team coach.  Maggie brings 15 years of gymnastics experience as both a coach and competitor.  She competed as a gymnast from the age of nine until her collegiate years and when she left competitive gymnastics, she was competing one level below elite status.   As a teenager, she was a state and regional champion in both Tennessee and Kansas.  Her ability to inspire ‘her girls’ is what sets her apart from other coaches; and she takes great pride in the success and accomplishments of not only her team, but of each individual gymnast.   In 2003, while coaching at another area gym, her Level 4 Team won the State Championship.   Ten members of that team, and their ever-supportive parents, are largely the reason the facility is here today.  As for the facility, she wants it to be noticeably different…and talked about…for all the RIGHT reasons.

KELLEY CLEMONS is the head pre-team coach and has been coaching for 5 years.  Her love for gymnastics began at the age of five at Memphis Gymnastics and after three years, she transferred to Nashville Gymnastics where she competed for the next seven years.  The highlight of Kelley's many gymnastic accomplishments was traveling to Europe at the age of ten to compete in the Junior Olympics.  She now compares those memories to the ones she is building with her Pre-Team girls.   Kelley played a big part in the opening of the facility and is the mother of Level 7 team gymnast, Bailey.

JONAH WATSON coaches recreational classes, coaches the boys’ fitness program & is a conditioning coach for the team program.  He has been coaching for 7 years and has eight years of gymnastics experience; four as a competitive gymnast.  At the age of fifteen, he placed first in the All-Around at the State Meet in Michigan.    He entertained the idea of training for the Olympics but instead decided he would rather spend his time coaching young Olympic hopefuls.  Who doesn’t love ‘Mr. Jonah?’

SHANNON MORGAN is a ‘local girl’ having graduated from Mt. Juliet High School.  She coaches many of the pre-school classes and brings to the gym ten years of experience as a gymnast and seventeen years as a dancer.  Shannon is the mother of two young daughters.

MARISA NEEDELS is the friendly face that greets you at the front desk.  She is the ‘glue that holds it all together’ and was instrumental in opening the facility.   Her ‘gift of gab’ serves her well as she handles all current & prospective students.  When in doubt, ASK MARISA!  She is the mother of Level 7 team gymnast, Lindsey.

ASHTEN STENFTENAGEL is from Indiana and began gymnastics at the age of 4 competing up to Level 7.  She left competitive gymnastics at the age of 15 to pursue other sport interests.  She has been coaching for 6 years and is currently one of the team coaches, assisting with all team levels, as well as, coaching several of the advanced recreational classes.  Ashten is also the gym's program director over-seeing all recreational gymnastics & tumbling classes.

TRENEE' CALLEN is originally from the Chicago area and is currently working on her Undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University.  She coaches recreational gymnastics and assists with the pre-team program.  She brings to the gym years of experience in tumbling, gymnastics and dancing and enjoys coaching because of the students, the atmosphere and the ability to stay physically active.

CHELSEA PARSONS is one of the recreational coaches and brings 7 years of gymnastics experience as a gymnast.   She began the sport at the age of 3 and competed through Level 6.  She has 4 years of dance experience with 2 years as an instructor.  She is from Nashville and when not in the gym coaching, she assists at the front desk.

MADINA KHAMRAEV assists with Levels 4 & 5 of the team program.  She is originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and started gymnastics at the age of 4.  She earned her Candidate to Master of Sports Level (KMS) and competed at the KMS at the Tashkent Nationals competition.  Madina was trained by Svetlana Kuznetsova, coach to many World & Olympic Champions, including Oksana Chusovitina.  She is the Mother of a 3 year-old future gymnast.
